B. All Other candidates: who do not satisfy category A will be admitted based on their performance in the institute-conducted written test and interview, subject to the availability of seats.

M.S. (by Research) in CCE

B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering / Information Technology / Communication and computer engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or related branch with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA (with/without valid GATE score)

B.E. / B. Tech. (in any branch) or MCA or M.Sc. (in Computer Science/ Electronics or related subject) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA and a valid GATE score in CS/ EC subject.

M.S. (by Research) in CSE

B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology / Software Engineering or related branch with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA (with/without valid GATE score)

B.E. / B. Tech. (in any branch) or MCA or M.Sc. (in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Operation Research etc. ) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA and a valid GATE score in CS/DA (Computer Science & Information Technology (CS) or Data Science & Artificial Intelligence (DA).

M.S. (by Research) in ECE

B.E. / B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering/ Instrumentation Engineering or related branch with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA (with/without valid GATE score)

B.E. / B. Tech. (in any branch) or M.Sc. (in Electronics/ Physics/ Instrumentation or related subject) with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent CPI/CGPA and a valid GATE score in EC subject.

Note: Candidates appearing for ﬁnal examinations in 2025 can also apply.

Admissions will be made based on the prepared merit lists as mentioned below:

Instructions to Apply

To apply for admission in M.S. by Research programme, interested applicants have to necessarily fill the online application form through the admission portal.
Application Form other than online mode would not be accepted in any case.
Only one application needs to be submitted by an applicant. More than one application, i.e. multiple applications submitted by an applicant will be rejected.
The applicant is required to pay an application fee (non-refundable) of INR 500. For women applicants, application fee is INR 250.

Hostel and Mess charges per semester (in INR)

Students can select AC/Non-AC rooms. AC rooms are limited and will be allotted on First Cum First Serve basis. The option has to be given by the student during the time of admission.
The change of option from AC to Non-AC room will not be accepted. Request for Non AC to AC would be considered subject to availability.
Those are alloted Air Conditioned hostel rooms have to pay Rs.2,800 per semester as additional electricity and other charges over and above the yearly increased in fees and charges. Electricity and Internet charges may increase in case of any change in unit rates/tariff changed by Govt./service providers. This additional AC hostel charges are over and above the yearly charges and yearly increase in fees and charges.

NOTE:

The Institute reviews the Fee Structure & charges periodically. There will be an annual increase of approximately 10% in Fee and Charges.
All charges are mandatory nothing can be waived off.
Medical cum Accidental insurance yearly charges shall be charged on actual basis with 2nd – semester fee.
Alumni Fee: Lifetime membership for LNMIIT Alumni Association of INR 2,000/- (one time) will be charged from all graduating students.
Same fee shall be charged in 2nd semester.
Summer/Winter course fees shall be paid separately as decided (if opted).
Electricity charges may also change if any change in the Govt. tariff/JVVNL tariff charges proposed anytime in future.
Bus charges shall be payable as per use as decided by the Institute.
Staying in the Hostel is optional. Hostel facility would be available subject to availability of the rooms.
Hostel and Mess charges would apply only to those provided with hostel accommodation and using the mess.

† Financial support is available as a half-time teaching / research assistant (HTTA / HTRA) as per the rules of the institute. The HTTAship / HTRAship under this scheme will be equivalent to the full Tuition Fee, and thus making it zero effective tuition fee. This will be extended to the next three semesters, provided the candidate is able to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7 and do satisfactory work as assessed by the Department.

Refund Policy

Financial Support/ Assistantship

M. Tech. students with valid GATE score shall receive scholarship from AICTE as per rules.
Financial support is available as a half-time teaching / research assistant (HTTA / HTRA) as per the rules of the institute. The HTTAship / HTRAship under this scheme will be equivalent to the full Tuition Fee, and thus making it zero effective tuition fee. This will be extended to the next three semesters, provided the candidate is able to maintain a minimum of 7 CGPA and do satisfactory work as assessed by the Department.

*Annual Tuition fees– Rs. 211000/-. A monthly stipend of Rs. 17583.33/- will make effective fees to be zero.

NOTE: The Institute reviews the Fee Structure & charges periodically. There will be an annual increase of approximately 10% in Fee and Charges. HTTA/HTRAship will be revised accordingly.

Limited financial assistance for national and international travel to present research work in reputed (Tier – I / Tier – II) referred National / International conferences.

NOTE: The continuation of Assistantship (HTTA/HTRA) will be subject to monthly attendance and satisfactory academic performance.
