M.Sc. Programmes

Important Note:

All admissions to LNMIIT Jaipur are handled ONLY through the admission portal on our website. We do NOT have any other companies/ individuals or online portals representing us and providing admission services.

Financial Support

A few assistantships (10 students in M.Sc. Mathematics and Computing and M. Sc. Physics each) are available, on the basis of merit/ selection as Teaching Assistantship.
The assistantship amount at present is INR 5,000/- per month. The students’ progress will be reviewed at the end of each semester and based on that the Department will recommend the top 10 students for ﬁnancial support for the next semester as per institute rules. For the ﬁrst semester, top 10 students will get assistance based on their rank in the admission process. Admission will be conducted in stages via various modes, the merit list will also be created in the following order:
- JAM qualified students based on their percentile. (Note: percentile should be above the cut-off score for the general category.)
- CUET-PG qualified students based on the CUET score and the cut-off decided by the Institute.
- Institute qualified students based on the score obtained in the online interview.
Limited ﬁnancial assistance for national and international travel to present research work in reputed (Tier- I/ Tier – II) refereed National/ International conferences as per the Institute Norms.

Fee Structure

The application fee (non-refundable) for the M. Sc. courses is INR 500. For women applicants, the application fee is INR 250.

Students can select AC/Non-AC rooms. AC rooms are limited and will be allotted on First Cum First Serve basis. The option has to be given by the student during the time of admission.
The change of option from AC to Non-AC room will not be accepted. Request for Non AC to AC would be considered subject to availability.
Those are alloted Air Conditioned hostel rooms have to pay Rs.2,800 per semester as additional electricity and other charges over and above the yearly increased in fees and charges. Electricity and Internet charges may increase in case of any change in unit rates/tariff changed by Govt./service providers. This additional AC hostel charges are over and above the yearly charges and yearly increase in fees and charges.

Note:

The institute reviews the fee structure & charges periodically. There will be an annual increase of approximately 10% in Fee and Charges.
All charges are mandatory nothing can be waived off.
Medical cum accidental insurance yearly charges shall be charged on actual basis with 2nd- semester fee.
Alumni fee: Lifetime membership for LNMIIT alumni association of INR 2,000/- (one time) will be charged from all graduating students.
Same fee shall be charged in 2nd semester.
Summer/Winter course fees shall be paid separately as decided (if opted).
Electricity charges may also change if any change in the Govt. tariff/JVVNL tariff charges proposed anytime in future.
Bus charges shall be payable as per use as decided by the Institute.
If hostel opted mess is compulsory.

Modes of Admission

A. JAM Mode: Joint Admission test for Masters (JAM)- 2025* qualified students will be admitted directly to the Institute subject to the merit list and availability of seats. (Note that the percentile should be above the cut-off score for the general category.)

B. CUET-PG Mode: Central University Entrance Test (CUET-PG)-2025* exam qualified students will be admitted directly to the Institute subject to the merit list and availability of seats. (Note that the cut-off for the same will be decided post the last date of application via this mode.)

C. Institute Online Admission Mode: Candidates can apply via the institute mode if

The candidate does not have a JAM-2025/ CUET-PG-2025 score card.
JAM-2025/ CUET-PG-2025 qualified candidates have missed the last date to fill the form in their respective mode. (Note: JAM-2025/ CUET-PG-2025 score will be null and void in this mode)
Institute admission procedure will be via an online interview. The merit list will be prepared on the performance of the candidate in the interview only. Candidates will be admitted based on this merit list subject to availability of seats.

A Master’s Programme in Physics, with a duration of 2 years, provides students the fundamental knowledge of advanced physics, along with problem-solving skills. The Department has a good research atmosphere with highly qualified and energetic faculty members backed up by excellent infrastructural facilities.

Eligibility Criteria

A minimum of 55% or equivalent CPI/ CGPA in

Three-year B.Sc. (Honours in Physics/Applied Physics or Honours in Electronics/ Material Science/ Computer Science /Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics with Physics as one of the major subjects.)

Four-year B. Tech. / B. E. / B. Sc. (Engineering) in any branch of engineering.

Three-year general B. Sc. degree (with Physics as one of the major subjects)

A Master’s Programme in Mathematics and Computing is designed to offer a complete, balanced combination of theory and applications. It will enable students to choose various carrier paths including research labs, academic institutions, and private companies. Training & Placement Cell

The Training and Placement Cell of the institute handles all aspects of placements at LNMIIT for the students of all departments. It is a student body, directly under the supervision of the honourable Director, headed by the Training and Placement Officer and guided by the Faculty Advisors .The Cell stands for branding the outlook of the university to the corporate and the industry.
The Training and Placement Officer, Coordinators and the student representatives handle various crucial tasks in the Cell like reaching out to companies, scheduling and executing placement related activities and carrying out all offcial communication with recruiters and students. The Cell strives to match recruiter expectations with students’ aspirations. The team of student representatives coordinate the activities to ensure compliance with various institute policies and company offcials, who execute coordination with their recruiting organisations. Over the years the Cell has gone from strength to strength in achieving outstanding placements at LNMIIT and will continue to do so in the years to come.

Student Life at LNMIIT Campus

The institute provides its students with opportunities for exploring and enhancing their talents not only in the Technology but also in extra- curricular activities. Accordingly, our academic Programmes are backed up with appropriate co- curricular and extra-curricular inputs promoting culture, sports, self-governance and values; all of which help the students towards becoming complete human beings.
The students of the institute live together in the hostels which helps in developing a healthy and social relationship among them. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus.
Each year student elections are held, for various clubs and for food arrangements, interaction of the student community with the administration of the university, hostel facilities, and coordination of active sports and cultural activities in the university.
