Note: The Institute reserves the right to reflect any changes with respect to the admission to a programme, number of rounds of seat allocations, respective deadlines, and also any changes as may be necessary in view of statutory requirements/ notifications from time to time.

Spot Round is only for the Mechanical Engineering Branch.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. The applicant must be a citizen of India.
  2. To participate in the Spot round, the applicant must have 90.0000 or above percentile score in either the 1st or 2nd or both JEE (Main) 2024 Examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  3. The applicant must have secured an aggregate of minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Class 12th examination from a recognized board.
  4. The applicant must have secured an aggregate of minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12th examination.
  5. The applicant must have secured an aggregate of a minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade in the Class 10th examination from a recognized board.

Participation in Spot Round

Anyone who satisfies the eligibility criteria can participate by following the instructions for the Spot Round.

Instructions for Spot Round

The above-mentioned eligible applicants must follow the following steps:

  1. The applicant must fill in the Spot Round form and apply online through a form (link: https://spotround.lnmiit.ac.in/)
  2. The applicant must pay Fee and Charges of INR 3,07,250/- (for male applicants) and 3,06,250/- (for female applicants) in total. This includes the Application fee Tuition fee, registration fee, caution money, hostel, and mess charges.
    • The Fee and Charges of INR 3,05,250/- will be adjusted towards the 1st semester fee and charges in case the Institute is able to provide a seat in one of the preferred branches of the applicant
    • In case the Institute fails to offer a seat in one of the preferred branches of the applicant then the Fee and Charges of INR 3,05,250/- will be refunded back to the applicant
    • If the applicant wants to withdraw from the allotted seat, only the caution money of INR 10,000/- will be refunded to the applicant.
    • Application fee of INR 2000/- for male and 1000 for female candidates is non-refundable and non-adjustable.

NOTE: Please be informed that admissions through the regular counselling process & Special round counselling is now closed, and the existing merit list is now non-operational.

Allotment of Seats

  1. Allotment of seats will be in online mode only. The applicants need not physically come to the institute campus.
  2. A Merit List will be prepared solely based on the Final NTA score (percentile) obtained in Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech.) in JEE (Main) 2024 Examination for all eligible applicants.
  3. In the case of applicants who appeared in both the JEE (Main) 2024 Examinations, the best of two percentile scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List.
  4. In case of identical JEE (Main) 2024 Percentile Score, the following tie – breaker rules will be applied in the given order.
    • Mathematics Percentile Score in JEE (Main) 2024
    • Physics Percentile Score in JEE (Main) 2024
    • Chemistry Percentile Score in JEE (Main) 2024
    • Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry total Percentage in Class 12th Exam
    • Mathematics Marks in Class 12th Exam
    • Physics Marks in Class 12th Exam
    • Chemistry Marks in Class 12th Exam
    • Total Percentage in Class 10th Exam
  5. Based on the above merit list and applicants’ preference list, seats will be allotted.
