Centre for Advanced Vision and Language Technologies (AVLTech)
The LNMIIT Centre for Advanced Vision and Language Technologies (AVLTech) is a strategic research and innovation initiative established at LNMIIT to advance the field of next-generation Artificial Intelligence. The Centre focuses on the integration of Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Multimodal AI systems to develop intelligent solutions that address industrial, societal, and national challenges.
AVLTech serves as a collaborative platform for faculty, researchers, students, industry experts, and academic partners to conduct cutting-edge research, build deployable AI systems, and foster innovation in vision–language technologies. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and industry engagement, the Centre aims to bridge the gap between fundamental research and real-world applications.
AIM
AVLTech aims to position LNMIIT at the forefront of advanced Artificial Intelligence research by developing innovative vision–language technologies that combine visual understanding, language intelligence, and multimodal reasoning. The Centre seeks to create impactful solutions, promote knowledge creation, and contribute to the advancement of AI-driven technologies for industry and society.

To establish AVLTech as a nationally and internationally recognized Centre of Excellence in Vision and Language Technologies, driving cutting-edge research, engineering innovation, and real-world deployment of intelligent systems that integrate Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Multimodal Technologies.
The Centre envisions becoming a hub for next-generation vision–language systems, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to address industry challenges, societal needs, and national priorities.
