Centre for Aerospace Sciences and Technology
(C-AST)
The Centre for Aerospace Sciences and Technology (C-AST) at LNMIIT, Jaipur is a multidisciplinary centre dedicated to research, development, innovation, and academic advancement in the fields of Space Technology, Aerospace Applications, Earth Observation, and Planetary Probing.
C-AST focuses on fostering innovation-driven research and developing advanced technologies for future aerospace and space missions besides active academics. The centre also promotes collaboration with national and international organizations, industries, and research institutions working in the aerospace domain and planetary sciences.
Our Aim
The centre aims to create a strong ecosystem for aerospace research by integrating expertise from electronics, communication systems, mechanical systems, remote sensing, artificial intelligence, satellite technologies, and planetary explorations.

Focus Areas of C-AST
- Designing and developing payloads for airborne and satellite platforms.
- Creating dedicated, theme-oriented small satellites for targeted space missions.
- Developing a skilled workforce in space technology and aerospace research through specialized academic activities and training.
- Developing advanced methodologies and inversion techniques for extracting geophysical parameters from space-based observations for Earth and Planetary studies.
- Organizing seminars, workshops, expert lectures, and outreach activities to promote knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration.
