Centre for Liberal and Performing Arts
The LNMIIT Centre for Liberal and Performing Arts (L-CLPA) has been established as one of LNMIIT’s focused sustainable research and development initiatives with the potential to create both immediate and long-term benefits for the institute, society, and the nation.
The Centre is committed to providing an enriching educational environment that prepares students to thrive in an increasingly diverse and dynamic global society. By integrating liberal arts and performing arts into the academic ecosystem, L-CLPA aims to develop well-rounded individuals equipped with knowledge, creativity, critical thinking, communication skills, and cultural awareness.
Beyond academics, the Centre aspires to evolve into a Centre of Excellence in research, innovation, development, and new venture creation in the fields of liberal and performing arts.
Initially established as a virtual organization, L-CLPA will progressively develop into a dedicated physical centre on the LNMIIT campus with active participation from faculty, scholars, students, and staff.

The Centre aims to enrich the educational experience at LNMIIT by integrating liberal education with artistic and cultural engagement. Through academic initiatives, creative activities, workshops, performances, and research, the Centre seeks to cultivate socially responsible, culturally aware, and innovative individuals capable of contributing positively to a rapidly changing world.

Events & Activities
The Centre successfully organized a vibrant series of workshops and cultural performances bringing together students, faculty, staff, and their families through immersive artistic experiences.
Classical Dance Workshop
7–8 January 2026
Conducted by Ms. Jyoti Singh, a trained Kathak practitioner from the renowned Jaipur Gharana, the workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of Kathak, including rhythm, footwork, expression, and storytelling through guided practical sessions.
Classical Music Concert
9 January 2026
Held at the Open Air Theatre (OAT), the concert featured acclaimed performing artist Mr. Raghav Raja, who presented a captivating blend of Indian classical and semi-classical music through a contemporary performance style, creating an enriching cultural experience for the campus community.
Pottery Workshop
12–13 January 2026
This hands-on workshop introduced participants to traditional pottery techniques, enabling them to explore clay modelling and creative craftsmanship while experiencing the joy of artistic creation.
Western Dance Workshop
12–30 January 2026
Conducted by professional dancer and choreographer Mr. Vinay Kumawat, the workshop focused on contemporary dance forms including:
Hip-Hop
House
Freestyle
Participants developed musicality, coordination, body awareness, confidence, and performance skills through interactive sessions.
