What Are We Doing?

The centers is dedicated to exploring the vast potential of data- driven approaches, fostering innovation, and preparing students for careers in data science and related fields.

CMLBDA was formed in the year 2018 with the aim to grow as a sustainable centre of excellence in terms of research, innovation, development and new venture creation in Machine Learning, Big Data, Business Analytics, Information Retrieval and associated areas. Current thrust areas of work include ML algorithms for Big data analytics, Social network analysis, Social behavior analysis, Real-time event identification, Media bias, Web science and Issues in a smart city environment.

Our Aim

The centre fosters a culture of innovation, encouraging students and faculty to explore entrepreneurial ventures, start-ups, and applied research projects.

The CMLBDA aims to:

 

  • To work in the areas of Data Mining, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Network Analytics, Computer Vision, Web Science, Big Data, Information Retrieval and Deep Learning.
  • o work in the areas of information diffusion in social media, bias and web privacy, healthcare, music information retrieval and action recognition in sports.
