Center for Research in Advanced Radionics Engineering
The Center for Research in Advanced Radionics Engineering (C-RARE) established in 2026 under the umbrella of The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT) Jaipur focusses on Radio-Frequency (RF), Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave (mm-wave) technologies, which are foundational to modern communication, sensing, healthcare, aerospace, and smart systems.
With the rapid expansion of 5G/6G communications, radar and remote sensing, autonomous systems, space technologies, and wireless healthcare solutions, there is a critical need for a dedicated center that integrates research, training, prototyping, and industry collaboration in RF and Microwave engineering. C-RARE aims to fulfill this need and establish LNMIIT as a nationally and internationally recognized hub in this domain.

To establish a global footprint of The LNMIIT in the field of Radio-Frequency, Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave Technologies.
Mission
- To precisely define the key areas of research to be pursued, based on the available competencies and interests of the members.
- To address the research challenges through consultation with Industry peers and experienced academicians, in the country and abroad.
- To train engineers and researchers by organizing workshops, expert lectures, faculty development programs, and short-term specialized courses, thereby strengthening India’s talent pipeline in RF, Microwave, mm-wave and allied areas.
- To build in-house capabilities for designing, prototyping, testing, and validation of RF components and systems.
- To collaborate with Industry and Government for developing high-impact RF and microwave products and enabling their technology transfer and commercialization.

Updates
- Dr. Suvadeep Choudhury delivered an invited talk on ‘Recent Advances in Sensor Design’ at the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics- The University of Calcutta. It was jointly organized by the IEEE AP-MTT Kolkata Chapter and IEEE APS Student Branch Chapter-CU (Pictures).
- Three faculty members (Dr. Jeet Ghosh, Dr. Gopinath Samanta, and Dr. Suvadeep Choudhury) represented C-RARE and the Institute at WAMS 2026 (WAMS Presentations).
- Aryakumar Kiransinh Parmar -Y24, Nandini Sharma -Y24, and Roopeshwar Megadula -Y23 under the mentorship of Dr. Jeet Ghosh have been declared the winner of the Student Project Contest at WAMS 2026 (WAMS 2026 STC Winners).
