The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) discipline was established in the year 2008, with the following objectives that the graduates will:

  • Be able to apply the principles of computer science, basic mathematics, and science to solve problems requiring knowledge of the discipline.
  • Be able to identify and analyze Information Technology related problems and propose solutions to address them.
  • Be engaged in learning, understanding and applying new ideas and technologies in multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary projects by being an effective leader or team member.
  • Be socially and globally aware of contemporary issues, possess ethical values and communication skills.

The CSE discipline is supported by a team of faculty members having excellent research credentials as well as extensive industry experience. The laboratory facilities include the Programming Lab, Data Structures and Algorithms Lab, Computer Organization and Architecture Lab, Database Lab, Operating Systems Lab, and Computer Networks Lab. The CSE department offers B. Tech., B. Tech. – M. Tech. (Integrated Degree), M.Tech, M. S (by Research) and Ph.D.

Aim

The aim of the Computer Science and Engineering department is to provide students with a comprehensive education and training in the field of computer science and engineering. The department focuses on equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and expertise required to understand and develop innovative technologies, software systems, and hardware components. The department offers a diverse range of courses that cover topics such as programing, algorithms, data structures, computer architecture, operating systems, databases, and software engineering.

Vision

The vision of CSE department is to be one of the finest centers of higher learning in the area of Computer Science & Engineering, offering a high quality learning and research environment through continually evolving, updating and adapting to the current, emerging and future needs of industry, academia and society. It includes establishing strong industry partnerships and collaborations to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world.

Mission

  • To offer state-of-the-art programs in Computer Science & Engineering while ensuring strong fundamentals. And be able to apply the science to solve problems requiring knowledge of the discipline.
  • To foster quality research through internal and external collaborations leading to publications, patents and sponsored/ funded projects.
  • To inculcate lifelong learning, teamwork, leadership qualities and professional ethics amongst students and faculty.
  • To have industry/research collaborations to keep abreast with emerging technological advancements and create cutting edge technology-driven solutions for problems faced by relevant industries.
