Biography

Dr. Payel Pal is an Assistant Professor of English at the Humanities and Social Sciences, LNM Institute of Information Technology, Jaipur, India. Her research areas include South Asian Literature, Postcolonial Studies, Ecology, and Film and Cultural Studies. Besides participating in several international conferences and seminars, she has published her articles in reputed journals such as the Journal of Commonwealth Literature, Journal of Postcolonial Writing, Quarterly Review of Film and Video, Visual Anthropology, Media Asia, Intersections, Journal of International Women Studies, and SARE: Southeast Asian Review of English. She is also one of the Series Editors of the UK Routledge Series “South Asian Literature in Focus.”
